Submit Your Application

Fill out our online Adoption Application. Tell us about your experience, facilities, and what kind of horse you’re looking for.

Adoption Request Approval

Once your application is reviewed, and if approved, you shall be informed of the decision and provided with the next steps required for the completion of the adoption.

Finalize the Adoption

After approval, you’ll sign our Adoption Contract, pay the adoption fee, and arrange transport. We’ll support you with care guidelines and follow-ups.

Horse Adoption Fees

Our fees typically range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the horse’s age, training, and health. These fees help cover:

  • Veterinary checks and vaccinations

  • Farrier and dental care

  • Training assessments and evaluations

  • Daily feed and basic care

Note: Ongoing ownership costs (feed, farrier, vet, board) are the adopter’s responsibility.

Most adoptions are completed within 2–4 weeks, depending on application review, scheduling a visit, and transport arrangements.

 

Yes. Many of our horses are suitable for beginners. We’ll help you find the right match and provide resources for new owners.

We offer a lifetime return policy. You can always return the horse to Hooves Haven Rescue.

Yes. In some cases, we allow short-term fostering or trial placements before finalizing the contract.

Transport is typically arranged and paid for by the adopter. We’ll provide guidance and trusted hauler contacts.
