Support Hooves Haven Rescue
Your donation is tax-deductible
Hooves Haven Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You will receive a donation acknowledgment for your records.
Why Donate?
Behind every horse on our adoption page is a story that started in hardship — a kill-pen auction, a neglectful situation, a financial crisis, or a life transition that left a horse without a home. Your donation is what makes the rescue possible.
Hooves Haven Rescue is a lean, mission-driven nonprofit. We do not run paid advertising. We do not have corporate sponsors. Our ability to rescue horses, provide veterinary care, and support adopters after placement depends entirely on the generosity of people who believe that horses deserve a second chance.
Where Your Money Goes
|
Veterinary care |
Every horse that enters our program receives a full health assessment, vaccinations, Coggins testing, and any urgent treatment they need on arrival |
|
Farrier care |
Regular hoof trims and assessments — horses in rescue often arrive with seriously neglected feet that require multiple appointments to correct |
|
Feed and forage |
Daily hay, grain (where needed), and supplements to restore and maintain condition in horses who arrive underweight or malnourished |
|
Rehabilitation housing |
Safe pasture, shelter, and stabling while horses recover physically and build trust with humans |
|
Transport |
Costs associated with picking up horses from kill pens, owner surrenders, and other rescue situations across the USA |
|
Post-adoption support |
Staff time spent supporting adopters with questions, training referrals, and veterinary guidance after a horse goes home |
Ways to Give
One-Time Donation
Make a single donation of any amount. Every gift — whether $25 or $2,500 — goes directly into our program.
Suggested donation impact
$25 → One bag of quality hay (approximately 3 days of forage for one horse)
$50 → One farrier trim for a horse in rehabilitation
$100 → One month of daily feed for a recovering horse
$250 → Contribution toward one Coggins test + core vaccinations
$500 → Contribution toward one full veterinary intake assessment
$1,000+ → Sponsor a horse’s full intake and first month of rehabilitation care
Monthly Giving
Set up a recurring monthly donation to provide steady, predictable support for our horses. Monthly donors are the backbone of our program — they allow us to plan ahead, take in more horses, and respond to emergency intake situations without hesitation.
Tribute and Memorial Donations
Make a donation in honor of a beloved horse, animal, or person. We will send a personalized acknowledgment to the recipient or their family. Contact us at info@hooveshavenrescue.com to arrange.
